Emsella Chair

The Emsella Chair a non-invasive pelvic floor therapy for both women and men.

Treatment is used to support pelvic muscle function related to bladder control, core stability, and sexual health, and is considered within the context of overall pelvic and urogenital health.

Emsella uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate pelvic floor muscles while the individual remains fully clothed and seated. Sessions are brief and do not require physical exertion or recovery time.

Emsella therapy may be relevant for women and men experiencing:

  • Urinary leakage, urgency, or frequency
  • Pelvic floor weakness related to aging, childbirth, or surgery
  • Postpartum or post-prostate surgery changes.
  • Sexual health concerns associated with pelvic muscle dysfunction
  • Women’s menopausal, vaginal and sexual health.
  • Reduced pelvic or core support
  • Tight pelvic floor muscles

Suitability is determined through clinical discussion to ensure this therapy. is appropriate and safe.

when this treatment is used

The Emsella is used selectively and as part of a broader care strategy when appropriate. Treatment plans are guided by clinical context and individual goals, and may be integrated alongside medical management, pelvic health strategies, or rehabilitative care. Emsella is a functional intervention improving muscle performance and symptom control.

Treatment Experience & Considerations

During treatment, individuals remain fully clothed and seated. Most experience a mild tingling or buzzing sensation as the pelvic floor muscles contract. Sessions are painless and require no downtime.

Treatment plans commonly involve a short series of sessions, with maintenance sessions considered based on response and symptom recurrence.

next steps

Does pelvic floor support feels relevant?

If urinary, core, or sexual health concerns are of concern, the next step is a consultation.

This allows the clinical team to assess symptoms, review contraindications, and determine whether Emsella therapy aligns with your care plan.
