Advanced Lab Testing

Luminary Health operates an internal laboratory for select testing, allowing for faster turnaround times when appropriate.

When additional diagnostics are required, such as comprehensive health panels or full DNA analysis, testing is coordinated through trusted external laboratories. This combined approach allows for efficiency without compromising scope or quality.

Rather than relying on surface-level diagnostics, testing is used to identify underlying patterns that influence how the body functions over time. This provides physician-guided insight,  which eliminates guesswork or trial and error.

When Advanced Testing Is Helpful

Advanced lab testing is often considered when symptoms persist despite standard evaluation, or when multiple concerns appear connected rather than isolated. This may include fatigue, digestive disruption, hormonal changes, immune concerns, unexplained inflammation, or limited response to previous treatment.

Testing is ordered with clinical intent and interpreted within the broader health picture. The goal is to understand why symptoms are occurring and use that information to guide next steps—not to replace clinical judgment.

How Testing Is Used
Results are reviewed with a physician and placed into context alongside symptoms, health history, and goals. From there, care may include targeted treatment strategies, nutritional support, lifestyle guidance, or further follow-up. Testing is used to provide clarity and direction, not as an endpoint.

Types of Advanced Testing Offered

Testing is selected based on individual concerns, medical history, and physician assessment to ensure clinical relevance and appropriate use.

Blood, urine, or saliva testing, selected based on clinical indication.

Blood-based testing to assess food sensitivities when clinically relevant.

Comprehensive digestive stool analysis to assess digestive health, including ova and parasite screening.

Breath testing to assess small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.

Standard laboratory testing is conducted through LifeLabs.

Including methylation and detoxification pathway profiles.

Adrenal Stress Index (ASI) cortisol panel.

Evaluates exposure to environmental metals such as mercury, lead, arsenic.

Measures the presence of toxins produced by mold in the body.

Measures organic acid metabolites in urine to evaluate metabolic pathways and microbial activity.

Assessment of vitamin, mineral, and fatty acid levels to identify deficiencies.

Mycobiology DX testing to identify nasal infections, mold exposure, and biofilm-related illness.

next steps

If advanced lab testing feels relevant, the next step is a conversation. A consultation allows the clinical team to understand your concerns and determine whether testing would meaningfully support your care.
