Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Akkuyu earned her Bachelor of Applied Science from Toronto Metropolitan University and completed her Doctor of Naturopathy degree thereafter. She volunteered for nine years in long-term care and palliative care settings in Toronto, experiences that shaped her patient-centred approach and respect for continuity of care across all stages of life. She also completed an internship at the Toronto Birth Centre, a midwife-led facility specializing in pregnancy, labour, and lactation care, further strengthening her foundation in women’s health.
Dr. Akkuyu’s clinical interests align with Luminary Health’s comprehensive care programs and include thyroid health; women’s health and hormones, with particular attention to menstrual health, perimenopause, and menopause; fatigue and energy regulation; dermatological health; and general and preventive health within Luminary Health’s integrative care framework.
