Our physicians perform a complete health assessment including an indepth health consultation, blood work, and advanced hormone testing for each patient, which may include hormone testing, genetic, and/or food sensitivity testing.
With a tailored approach, we’ll create an overview of your body, helping identify the critical factors holding you back. Then, we’ll use this information to create a personalized weight loss plan, giving you support when you need it most. Our Approach to Weight Loss Online
Your Initial Consultation
Your first step is an in-depth discussion with our licensed physicians. In this consultation, we take the time to learn about your goals for losing weight and your present health situation. This enables us to create a tailored programme to meet your specific requirements.
We’ll have weekly check-in appointments for accountability and ongoing support.
Setting The Foundation for Success
Before beginning the program, we perform metabolic and hormone blood work to understand your body’s requirements. The tests performed include thyroid health, hormone levels, dietary sensitivities, insulin levels, and inflammatory markers. The results assist us in developing a customized plan based on your needs and objectives. The cost of these tests may vary depending on your pre-existing conditions and current health status.
Watch the Weight Fall Off
Once you’ve started the program, you’ll see fast results. We typically expect much faster weight loss with consistency, dedicated online support, and a personal plan. As your goal weight becomes closer, you’ll notice more energy, your clothes will fit better, and your overall health will improve.
Changes that Last a Lifetime
Unlike ‘fad’ diets, or unscientific crash diets, Luminary Health’s approach to weight loss is long-term. With your personalized plan, we can make weight loss choices tailored to you and to your body’s optimal health. In doing so, we treat the root cause of your stubborn weight and create healthy habits to keep the weight off.

Metabolic Hormone Prescription: Targeted Support For Optimal Results
Bio-identical hormones, such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, human growth hormone, thyroid, and metabolic hormones, may be prescribed based on your body’s needs. These hormones are carefully chosen to correct imbalances and optimize your metabolic function, allowing you to lose weight quickly and effectively.
Prescription Medications used for weight loss:

Dexa Body Fat Scan: Assessing Progress & Health
A Dexa Body Fat Scan is performed on people who want to reduce 50 pounds or more or on people over 50. This X-ray scan determines bone density and provides essential information about your fat-to-muscle ratio. It allows us to assess progress and precisely make the required changes to your programme.
Detoxification & Metabolic Nutritional Support: Promoting Health and Muscle Retention
Detoxification and metabolic nutritional assistance are critical components of the program. This stage aids in removing toxins stored in fat, regulates blood sugar and food cravings, and maintains optimal muscle retention. We optimize your body’s ability to burn fat and preserve muscle mass with tailored supplements and nutritional counseling.
Required Supplementation: Supporting Your Weight Loss Journey
Specific supplementation may be needed to increase the program’s effectiveness. Protein drinks with anti-inflammatory and detoxifying properties, liver and kidney detoxification support, blood sugar control, digestive enzymes, amino acids to prevent muscle loss, a complete multivitamin, a probiotic, and fiber supplements to bind and eliminate fat and toxins may be included. Intravenous vitamin drips, MIC/ B12 injections, and NAD + injections may also be recommended to address potential nutrient deficiencies, aid in detoxification, increase energy, and decrease stress.
Blood Testing & Body Scan: Assessing Health And Progress
Specific blood tests are carried out to ensure an accurate understanding of your body’s needs and to keep track of your development. These tests assess blood sugar levels, hormonal imbalances (including thyroid and cortisol function), and inflammatory markers, all essential contributors to aberrant or resistant fat storage. A body scan also assesses bone density, muscular mass, and body fat.
Who Can Benefit: Ideal Candidates For The Programme
Both men and women can benefit from the Medically Supervised Metabolic Weight Loss program here at Luminary Health, especially those who need to drop 50–100 pounds or more. We do not accept women who are currently pregnant or nursing. However, the program may be a valuable tool for postpartum weight loss.

The Weight Loss Process: Expectations and Guidelines
Mild hunger is typical in the first few days of the program, but this will pass as your body gets used to it. Due to your hypothalamus changing your metabolic rate and the calories produced from the burned fat, you will discover that even tiny quantities are gratifying. Minimizing hunger is made possible by following the instructions provided.
Although the program length is generally 3 or 6 weeks, the patient has the option to extend the program if they wish to do so.
How Long Does It Take To Lose Weight?
Patients on the programme should anticipate losing between 0.5 and 3 pounds per day, on average 1-2 pounds per day, in terms of weight loss duration. Increasing the amount of vegetables you eat and focusing on quality protein athaving salad at every meal are two things that help you lose weight more quickly.
To shed the fat from your body as you lose weight, consuming enough fiber and drinking enough water is crucial. If you need to drop more than 40 pounds, it can take multiple cycles of the program to reach your objectives.
Exercise and Activity: Important Considerations
Since calorie intake is already optimal for fat reduction during the program’s first week, exercise is typically not advised. After the first week, light workouts such as yoga, walking, or 20 minutes of cardio each day can be added if preferred.
To support physical activity and preserve lean muscle mass, changes will be made to the calorie and protein intake if more intense exercise is introduced. Any exercise plans should be discussed during your initial appointment to ensure your programme is adjusted as needed. Luminary Health has extensive referral partners for personal trainers. Please inquire.
Transition and Maintenance: Sustaining Long-Term Success
Once the three-week Metabolic Therapy Phase is through, you will move onto the Balance phase and gradually reintroduce complex carbs, such as fruits and starches, into your diet. Normally, this procedure takes three weeks. When reintroducing foods during maintenance, cautious monitoring of any weight gains is imperative.
It is advised to avoid a certain food if it contributes to weight gain and to reintroduce it once it has stopped doing so. During the first few weeks of maintenance, it is advisable to check in with the doctor frequently and weigh yourself. You might be provided B12 injections and fat burners to further boost your journey.
